by Tullio as a souvenir of the first return trip to Italy made by the
family in 1960. Air travel at that time appears to have been a more
elegant and formal occasion. As noted in the text, this flight
originated in Milan, Italy, en route to New York, and passengers were
served lunch and afternoon tea. Lunch included an appetizer of prosciutto and melon, pasta with tomato sauce, veal medallions with a madeira sauce, buttered beans, cheese, strawberry pudding, and coffee. |
