Discharge paper given to Oscar Proni, 13 September 1943.

14 del giorno 13-9-43 in cui è stato lasciato in libertà per
smobilitazio ne di armistizio.

[from the] 20th Regiment Artillery, Motorized
Division, of Piave, Headquarters
Oscar Proni has served with faithfullness and with honor to the 2
o'clock hour of September 13, 1943 in which he was let free to
demobilize due to the armistice.

Following the fall of the Italian Royal Army, with this precious piece
of paper in hand, and civilian clothes on his back, Oscar was able to
make his way back to Monfalcone.
