Catterina
Fröhlich was a noted 19th century pianist in Trieste. This card was tucked inside the envelope that appears just below it. Written on the back of the card in an elegant hand: Pour Feliciter, arrividerci alle 6. The envelope is addressed to Signor Antonio Zampieri, Guardiella no. 454, IIdo piano, Trieste. (Note: "IIdo piano" may be translated as "second floor.") On the reverse of the envelope is a gold-foil embossing of a man's profile, encircled by the name C. H. W. R. Gluck. Catterina Fröhlich eventually married Antonio Zampieri. They had four children: Margherita, Giusto, Maria Pia, and Felice (born 1885). Felice Zampieri became the father of Maria Zampieri Proni. |
