Isher kittens, derived from the MelodyGarden Cattery. The breed is American Shorthair; most of the cats are shaded silver in coloration. Jasmine is a silver ticked tabby, and Sir Winston IV is a shaded blue variation. Breeding cats was the most expensive – and most rewarding – hobby that I ever enjoyed. I am no longer involved with breeding, but both Creeper and Alta are wonderful pets. I would recommend this breed over any other for a person who wants a warm, attentive, personable cat. You should expect to pay between $350 and $650 for a pet-quality kitten, more for a show-quality kitten. Trust me, this breed is worth the expense.

A silver-shaded kitten.

Pinot

This male kitten was the first one born to Alta. I named him Pinot Grigio, after a type of Italian wine. There were two female kittens in the same litter, but Pinot was my favorite.

MelodyGarden Sir Winston IV of Isher

This male kitten is a shaded blue born to Alta on November 7, 2003. He's going to be a ten-gallon cat: he weighed nearly 7 pounds at 14 weeks! Sir Winston was adopted by a family in Ohio.

This is Camomile.

MelodyGarden Camomile of Isher

Sir Winston's younger brother, a shaded silver kitten. We hope he does as well in the show ring as his father, Virginia's Creeper!

The kittens love to watch nature programs.
