Oscar Proni started Proni Industries in the 1980s with the hope of developing a business that would manufacture fittings of his own design. Many of the fittings have been patented.

Every year at Christmas a cry would go up around the table: "Next year will be the year of the fittings!" Tullio assisted his father by machining prototypes (see a picture of Tullio working at a lathe), while other family members and associates made repeated trips to various factories and meeting with capitalists in the U.S., Germany, and Sweden.

We still wait for the year of the fittings.
